A thin grip, non 1911, 9mm.

Sig P225 A1. Single stack

Saving up for one myself..

8 rounds only

Or P239

Also single stack, but super compact. 10 round mags available

I agree with this except for the p239 being super compact. It's almost the same size as a Glock 19.

For small handed people, single stack pistols can be better for trigger and recoil control.
Also the SIG P239 is obscenely accurate!!!

Beretta makes a compact single stack version of the 92. One was for sale on the EE a week or so ago and likely still for sale. Single stack, 8 round mag. Just a beautiful pistol. The 92 platform is one of the most reliable pistols made and very accurate. It is restricted with a 4.25" barrel.

I'm going to echo the Browning Hi Power suggestion. It's thinner than the 226 and even thinner grips are available.

Personally, I'd go 500 rounds before making major changes like a trigger job or installing a ring hammer (the magazine disconnect is a different story, though).

VZ makes some excellent palm swell High Power grips. Much nicer than the kitchen cabinet door type that Browning should have left back in the 30's where they belong.

But for me if I had to choose one or the other it'd be CZ, with those same VZ grips - my favourite all around 9mm of all time.

And I'm a 1911 guy

Sig P239 or P225A1
Beretta 92Compact Type M...one was on EE recently.
HK P7M8
Boberg!!! super small and slim, no pinocchio barrel, surprisingly accurate and controllable.

Beretta 92 compact type m 8 round single stack was for sale........Am the proud new owner. Wow. Ridiculously slim. I will forever keep it. You will find compact beretta for sale bet never these models with the single stack 8 round

I just got p226 scorpion. The grips are very slim. Maybe you should update your p226 with the slim grips they make

Mwah-ha-ha-ha! Glad you're enjoying her sunjeep.

I owned a Type M Beretta 92 SB years ago, the frame was thin but the slide is as fat as double stack Beretta. I much prefer the Sig p239 over them.

1911's in 9mm are BIG and heavy. I own 9mm custom 1911 CCO's. While very accurate they are much heavier than the Sig P239 that matches them in accuracy. With practice you can easily hit steel plates at 50 yards with the DA first shot of the Sig. I find I tend to take the Sig to the range much more than the custom CCO's. You can get springs and parts for Sig from Brownells.

The Glock 43 is smaller than all of these 'older generation' 9mm compacts. There are lots of aftermarket triggers, sights, parts and magazine extensions that can increase the stock 6 round magazine by 1 to 4 additional rounds. The G43, Walther PPS, and M&P Shield are making the older compact guns obsolete, I read a thread on a Sig forum that the P239 is being discontinued next year. I will have to test the accuracy of the G43 vs. the Sig, if it matches it, I have a new favourite gun. If not, the Sig reigns supreme!!!

The new Gen 2 M&P Compact with a 4" barrel would be a gun I would be looking at as a carry piece for the US. Limiting oneself to 8+1 rounds in a SS carry piece is not something I would do just to get a slimmer gun. I say that if I thought I lived in an area where I just had to be armed.

I have written S&W and asked them to mate the Compact frame to the FS Slide with a 4.25" barrel for the Cdn. market. The gun would about 2MM longer than a G 19 without the pimple barrel. It also would be perfect for IDPA CCP Division. We shall see if S&W responds.

I'm looking for a thin grip, non 1911, 9mm pistol. I say non 1911, because I got 3 and like to try something else. But everything seems like bricks to me.

I like my 226 but it seems a little fat in my hand, I was thinking 220. But what are other single stack or thin double stack 9mm's?

EDIT, not looking for cheap TT-33. I want something for PPC.

I put the sig aluminum grips on my P226 and it was enough to make the difference I wanted. They are thinner than the stock plastic.

I got a chance to shoot a Canik TP9SFx on Friday. Take up was fairly long but the trigger was quite light and according to their website it's only 1.37" thick. I have moderately large hands and it did not feel bulky at all to me. Plus the price is pretty good as well.
