A threat to national security.

The issue is not that it is a gun part or any other such restriction. The issue is that since Badger Ordnance has a Canadian Distributor, Brownells due to contract arrangements cannot export it.

There are other manufacturers products that have the same contractual restrictions.

You can buy Badger stuff from Wolverine.

Good info ;)
We don't hear much from wolverine in this forum, good to know they are a Badger Ordnance dealer.
I have had an account with brownells for a long time along with the associated discounts. Makes sense now why they shipped me a greaser and might not on a normal order

"...prohibit the export of a little piece of plastic used to lubricate its' bolt..." If Badger says it's an M-14 part, that's why it can't be exported without the permit. M-14 parts are restricted for export. M1A parts are not.

I think it might be a problem with their system. A while ago I tried to order some badger ordnance handguard clip pliers and when I went to the shopping cart checkout it said they can't ship hazardous materials out of the US please remove them from my order :\ A different set of pliers from a different manufacturer went on the order fine and are now sitting in my tool cabinet.

Another time I tried ordering the SEI m14 vortex flash hider, their system accepted it fine (I got all excited) but Sandy had to tell me they consider it SME and won't ship.

Usually Brownell's has their US<->Canada stuff in really good order but there is the odd glitch.

Time for the Hungry Welfare Approach to the bolt roller greaser swag issue: a .40 caliber pistol case works well. Stuff the entire case fills grease and shove it oN the bolt roller. Good to go

Cheers
Barney

Easiest thing is to take a 308 case, cut off the neck and clean it up, debur.
Fill with JB weld or a liquid 2 part epoxy... Or even candle wax in a pinch (but make sure a spent primer is in there). Fill to 1/4" from lip.

Presto, 10 minute DIY bolt roller greaser. Load the end full of grease and force it onto the roller.
A hydraulic effect takes place, purging the roller of old grease, carbon residue ect.
Before removing roller greasing tool, wipe away all excess grease or you'll just suck the crud back into the roller.

Yomomma , you should make a bunch :)
I'll take mine 1" long and knurled please :D

Whoa now Tommy, a 7.62x54r case works better because you use get a rim to hold to when your tool gets greasy.

I've lubed my bolt roller twice now (in 5 years lol) and honestly the best way to do it is just to put some grease in saran wrap, cover the roller completely and create pressure pockets until it's slippery smooth. That's what I did before someone gave me the 7.62x54r case, and it worked better.

EDIT: Don't use western family stuff, the GLAD brand works best

Nothing to do with Canada bud.
Although Kudos to you for trashin on liberals anyways ;)

This has everything to do with the Liberals. Back in the late 90's when ITAR was heavily ramped up by the State Department, US representatives approached Canadian representatives at the UN and offered to exempt Canada from ITAR as a trusted ally. Our representative at that time was Alan Rock (yes, that Alan Rock, of C-68 fame). He told them to not put us on the allies list and to not exempt us from the ITAR requirements. So you can thank a Liberal a$$hole for having to deal with these restrictions and headaches.
