I recently ordered a high-end firearm from Wanstalls that had to go back to manufacturer for a rarely seen problem. I won't share details - so please don't ask.

I just wanted to say thanks to Gary at Wanstalls who responded quickly and made everything right!

Now before you accuse me of being a shill I live in Ontario and not BC and don't personally know the staff there, but good service these days needs to be commended.
 
Always been happy with Gary and his crew. The staff know what their talking about and always take the time to share what they know with a customer. It can get busy in there so patience is the virtue.
It's a bit of a haul to get there for me, but I've found a simple question via email is always welcomed, and responded to quickly.
Lots of goodies most other shops dont keep in stock, and their more than happy to bring something in.
I tip my hat as well! :)

Good to hear. When I was in their staff couldn't be bothered to help me. Italian got my money that day.

That's funny.......I will never, ever do business in Italian due to the way they treated myself and a buddy who was going to drop big $$$$$$ on a new scope.

Wanstalls on the other hand has always had great service as far as I am concerned.

That was my experience as well.
 
Hit and miss for me. Bought a pistol grip and service was super friendly. Went back and and bought and expensive rifle and couldn't even bother to engage in idle chit chat. Almost seem like he wanted me to just leave.
 
Wanstalls is tied for first place for supplying my shooting hobby. I won't mention the other, but they are equally top notch retailers and Wanstalls often has better selection for optics I find.

I bought a Scorpio shotgun from Wanstalls a couple years back, and only after I received it, did I realize that parts weren't interchangeable with a Remington 870 (despite it being a similar design). Even with no defect in the firearm, Wanstalls processed a return (unfired) and a refund for me.

They have won a client for life, they have excellent customer service.
 
Bought many firearms from Wanstalls. I don't live in BC, so all of my dealings have been by phone or email, directly with Gary. Only ever had one problem, and it had nothing to do with Wanstalls, manufacturer sent the wrong style of gun in the correct box, and it didn't match my registration. Gary took care of everything, including all the shipping labels and transfers, and within a week or two, the whole problem had been resolved, to my complete satisfaction.

Can't speak for the rest of the staff, as I have never been in the store, or never talked with anyone else, as there was no need too. I am 100% confident in guaranteeing you will be completely satisfied with any dealings you have with Gary.
