I looked at the serial number on my bolt, it matches the gun serial number

Those are standard markings on the barrels. .303 is the calibre, of course, and 2.222 inches is the cartridge overall length. BNP is the abbreviation for British Nitro Proof and it was proofed at eighteen and a half tons per square inch.
