A "very clean" No5

Wire wheel on a bench grinder, there should be a "registry" of sorts for them....................if it saves just one Lee Enfield (or other historic firearm).
 
Is this just a late April fools joke! Very sad, nobody can be that stupid, and this guy has a lot of feed back, should know better! I think it is just a bad joke!
 
I hope whoever removed Suncorite with a wire wheel was wearing a very good mask - that stuff is great, very tough etc. but it's absolutely toxic to virtually every living thing when wet, or in particle form. That's the reason no one in the gun business uses it any more, for heavy industrial applications it's still available.
 
I saw it yesterday and was like, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?? This thread is going in the CGN hall of shame for sure, along with the dishwasher M305 one.
 
Seems odd to ruin all collector value of the rifle to be able to read the stamps on it.. would still be a very nice rifle to hunt with or a place filler in a collection. But for more like half the listed price.

It it was a very clean rifle, now it is toooo clean.
 
I doubt it did. Im willing to bet he pulled the add after having this thread sent to him countless times lol.

That would he a record price for a no5 rifle. There are other matching and untouched no5's that sell for a few hundred less.

Had that not had the fishing brushed off it, id bet it still wouldnt sell for 950.
 
If it truly sold I feel for the person that bought it. Yet as bad as it was the seller was very honest about the description so it is no ones fault but the buyer
