A video of why I love dogs that HUNT!!!

I dont need to miss it, I hunt with dogs the first week of the hunt every year, we use pure bread border collies, I dont think Ive ever seen two dogs with a bigger smile on there faces then when they can run down a white tail or turn them back to us. We use a couple of hounds too but there no where near as quick but good for picking up a scent.

You kiddin right, its little hank.
Was that footage of a Fla. knife hunt? Seen them advertised lots in magazines but couldn't fathom what they were? Had visions of some guy sitting in a tree blind waiting for a hog and than pouncing...
Back on subject them dogs is great but nothing beats the baying of a hound.

Looked like mostly Catahoula Leapord dogs?? He used a Cutting dog there that looked like a Pit Bull cross. Did that young fella have a handgun in his pocket?
Great video!

What I saw was a hand held FRS radio , BR, but it wouldn.t have surprised we at all if tthey were packing iron as well ( even the little guy!!)
The caTCh ( or cutting ) dogs sure did look like they had , or were pit bull crosses.
My father had a friend down theere years ago who used Airdale/shepard crosses for cats and hogs, they were some pretty gnarly lookin' criiteers!!

Your post brought a big smile to my face. Growing up in Eastern ON our best deer dog was a little border collie. Like you said, I swear she was smiling when we took her out. She definitely knew her business, when she was in the swamps you had better be alert. She ran them fast and quiet........ in all the years we hunted with her I don't ever remember her making a 'peep'. We got more deer in front of her than all our beagles and blueticks combined. Fond memories........

A good time southern style

That looks like a good way to kill an afternoon. I'd love try it looks like alot of fun and probably good exercise too. Hunting with dogs is definatly an adrenaline rush.My favourite song too and yes I am a hillbilly:D

My hat is off to those fellas down there, anyone who is willing to wrestle wild boar is tough. I have hunted those things and raised a couple... they are just deadly if you give them a chance.

you bet, had a border and an aussie, saved many a hunter meat on a poor hit followed a leg shot deer from bethany to ommeme nearly 10 miles accross the pigeon river twice ,glad I thought to put tracker collars on them, despite the assurance that it was hard hit! they loved to hunt killed a number of coyotes in front of them Art
