hey CGN
im sitting here counting the days down until our Annual Aushunt Members hunt in the Wonnangatta Valley, Victoria.
i have most of my stuff packed and gathered in one corner of the house so as i can easily re pack into the Hilux come Friday!
we have had some snow up on the high country last few days and temps have dropped significantly over the past week which as been welcomed!
i have a backpack hunt planned early in the week an then finish the week off with some social hunting in the valley itself with the Aushunt Members!
im packing the 7mm-08 Kimber for initial use an also got 20 rounds packed away for the 9.3x62 which i hope to get a good run out of while in the thick jungle like conditions , a 250gr round nose seems like just the trick for a Sambar!
with fingers crossed that next week brings another cold front which can dump some more snow up high and in turn push some bigger beastys down into our valley hunting areas it would just be wonderful, if not, the resident hinds will be in trouble!
looking likely to be close to 20 hunters in Camp, of course i will touch base back with some photos of how we get on!
Take care CGN
