A-XMR 4350 Same as Accurate 4350?

Hello,

I have a lb of Accurate 4350 "Single Base Smokeless Propellant". It is not listed in my Lee and Hornady manuals (I just got these, whoo hoo! Older, but apparently reliable for the old farmer I got them from), but A-XMR 4350 IS. I have been told that Accurate changed their name for the powder then dropped it and got another name? This is odd as Accurate on their website lists Accur 4350, and there are examples like "Accur 2460" listed in my manual? I am very confused!

I am trying to load 174 Grn Hornady Spire Point Boat Tail, 3.095, and find data for this powder but no luck so far.

Google is your friend.....FYI AA no longer use XMR as a designator in their powders but u will discover all that with a little research

Mmm I smell laziness that no one could bother answering if they knew, after all I would only ask here after doing an internet search.

Your research should have easily provided an answer for you. AA dropped the XMR and XMP designators a few years ago and remamed with the AA prefix, but your research already revealed that didnt it

I haven't used that exact powder but I have used XMR-2015 and AA2015. I could'nt tell any difference.

I notice that the Accurate website offers technical support if one wishes to contact them. Most other manufacturers provide the same service because of safety and liability concerns.

Their downloadable manual does not appear to offer data for the .303 Brit or 7.62x54. Perhaps their hard copy manual, which can be ordered "free" on line, does. I have a copy of their 1996 manual which furnishes AA4350 data for both of these ctgs. As of 1996 the only propellants in their product line which incorporated an "X" in their identification were XMR-4064 and XMP-5744.

Propellants do change over time, as does some of the data for them. This is a good reason to have a current manual on hand. I have a Lee manual among a couple of dozen others. It is useful, but seldom my first choice. It does contain data for some of the more obscure/obsolete ctgs which is a good thing.
