I've never owned an A17 rifle, but stoked about the velocity boost...I bought 2 boxes when it came out to try it in my Marlin 917. After shooting about 20 rounds...I closed the box, and sold it all. Terrible accuracy from my rifle. That said, every rifle I've owned (rimfire or centerfire) showed strong preference for one or two ammo types over all others. I figured the A17 and my Marlin didn't get along, but that says nothing about how it might work in a Savage/CZ/H&R etc. My Marlin likes the 17gr. V-Max stuff, but the CZ I had before it (452 Varmint) only shot Hornady 20gr. HPs well.
