Good ideas with checking the gas port alignment. I didn't think of mounting the fsb upside down, but I did put it beside the barrel, by eye it looked pretty close. But I will try mounting it upside down to be sure.

Well, I've ordered Loctite #680, waiting on that. I'm so close to having this done that I just put everything together.

Another way to check gas flow is to put a dummy round in the chamber, plugged the muzzle end with tape/ cotton what have you. Use a straw or vinly clear plastic tube, slide it onto the gas tube and blow into it. If the dummy round comes flying out, you got good gas flow

I don't think you could generate enough PSI to blow through that tiny gas port hole in the barrel to pop out a dummy round. You can give it a try but you might pop some blood vessels trying...
