A2 Stock Kit - AR-10 or AR-15?

Hey all,

So I have an A2 stock kit down in the gunroom that I want to put on my Stag-10. Problem is, I don't know if the the buffer, spring and tube are for an AR-10 .308, or for an AR-15. I'm a little embarrassed to have to ask, but I'd like to be sure of what I have before diving in. Anyone have a reference on hand?

You will need an AR10 buffer. Everything else you can use.

The buffer will be slightly shorter to compensate for the longer bolt carrier

Don't feel bad. I went through the same thing as I build my first stag 10.

I’m a noob Too at this. Saw you can buy an extension also but am not sure if the buffer was AR15 or 10 being installed on a Stag10.

Never mind. that was a carbine vs rifle length butt stock conversion.

You’ll need a heavier buffer. MRA sells them on here.
