Anyone find the A2 stock is too short and they feel like they are pressing their face into the action and having to move the scope really far farward? Does anyone make a pad to lengthen the stock?

frankly the marine corp teaches thier shooters to have the nose right on the charging handle, your milage may vary.... ;) ;)

for me the a2 is perfect, and frankly that is what I am going to put on all my rifles.

I'm with Westie - A2 is perfect. I'm 6'5" though, but have nose to the CH.

Most carbine stocks extend slightly past an A2 length if I'm not mistaken. I know my M93B sure does.

I'm just 6' tall. Maybe longer necked? I dunno. It just seemed like I had to mount my scope way forward on the rail to get far enough away from it, and it seemed foreign to me to have my nose right up at the action. But, if you say that the way its supposed to be, then I'll accept that. It might make sense in light of the original peep sight used on these rifles.

Thats why I like tele stocks, they are adjustable for LOP for all sorts of people :D

Dont settle for being uncomfortable with your rifle.

One arbitrary stock length does NOT work for all people. Lots of ways to fix that, the one i mentioned is a cheaper and less "bubba'd" fix.

I shoot with the 6 position fully collapsed, nose to charge handle. 1st position with 3X magnifier. I am 6'5". Keeps it tight and swings properly.

Wow. I can't even REMOTELY shoot like that. Unless I'm wearing long underwear, a tee shirt, sweatshirt, two hoodies and my hunting parka. :D

It's really all preference I guess.

Nose to the charging handle is how it's done, it's the best way to inhale all those great shooting gases, gives me my required high :D

I use the PRI gas buster and my nose right up on it, that's why they make those extended scope mounts that way you get the proper eye relief with the scope pushed out far on the receiver.
