It looks like you are crushing your bullets with the seater stem.

Those are marks from pulled bullets from the jaws on the collet.Just keep those ones to the side for later use.

Tough to grab when it's 3.330" length.

I did drill out the seater stem then lapped it with a bullet in the drill press with a touch of compound, I believe you suggested to drill it out.

I purchased some but don't have it here yet, I will try at 3.340" and at 3.500" , I might have to concede to the fact that in order to obtain 300WM performance I will have to utilize that case capacity and go single shot.

Nothing near as big as the older Weatherby offerings. Some of those had close to .500in free bore.

My Tikka T3, 6.5x55 has at least a half inch of freebore with 95 grn Vmax and 85 gr jacketed hollow points.

To show how much, I can seat 140grn sst bullets so that the base of the bullet doesn't go into the powder column of the case and there's still plenty of free bore. Luckily, unlike KT's rifle, my magazines will just accept them and still feed well
