I bought a 2couple of those 5 round 50 beowulf mags and their okay. I thought about it a little and realized that if Alexander Arms designs a PISTOL version of their rifle than maybe we can also have the 10 round Beowulf mags too ; ) what do you all think of this?

Or we could get them to make a bolt action and have infinite amount of ammo in a mag. Been talked about before.

I will tell you what will happen. If you look back we had no mag limits before 92. Then we had 5rds. Then about 10 years ago the 10rd LAR mags came out and we were looked at closely for it but the anti's were still looking at less than the full mags we had so the government let that one slide. Then the .50 Beo mags that allow us upwards of 14 to 18 rds of 223 depending on what type. Anti;s were not happy about that but the government let that slide because again it was not a full capacity mag. BUT if someone puts out a beo pistol mag that will hold all 30rds of 223, there is no way the anti's or the government will let that rest. We will lose them, the beo rifle mags and probably the LAR ones too. They will re-wright the law to do this because there not going to let any full capacity AR mags exist.

Bottom line. Push this and we will burn down the progress we made.

How many Beowulf pistols are registered in Canada, and where can I buy one?

From the criminal code, under "prohibited devices"

3.#(1)#Any cartridge magazine
(a)#that is capable of containing more than five cartridges of the type for which the magazine was originally designed and that is designed or manufactured for use in
(i)#a semi-automatic handgun that is not commonly available in Canada
,

I don't know the definition of, "not commonly available".

Since a full capacity Bowolf mag holds just 10 rounds, so even if AA makes a pistol it will be deemed "designed to use the rifle magazine" just like how the Mossberg MVP is designed to use an AR mag, therefore limited to just 5 rounds.

Ahhhhhhhh yes, the mysterious and undefined "dual-purpose magazine"...

We should get a dealer to talk to Alexander Arms first, Before we make any assumptions. Even if were stuck with the 5 rnders someone out there would want a pistol 50 beowulf. Maybe try other manufacturers if not AA.

This ^^^

A better idea would be for everyone to join NFA and/or CSSA and give them the funds to fight for our right to have regular capacity magazines again rather than spending $100 on a stupid $30 magazine with a $70 stamp on it.
Looking for ways around the laws only leads to them eventually re-writing the laws to prevent us from doing it. If we support the organizations that can take the issues to the right levels of government and the courts we will have a better chance of getting rid of some of these asinine laws that do nothing to increase public safety and only punish law abiding citizens.

A.A. has already told Armtac (who is the canadian AA distributor) that they do not want to be involved in Canada's Grey market and that is why Armtac only sells AA mags to those with .50beo guns.
