Aa 5744

Anyone know of a source for Accurate 5744? I have a new 300wsm that needs sighted in and trigger time so I want a reduced recoil. Thank you for any leads.

If you can't find 5744 look for IMR4759. It is another high bulk, reduced load powder for the same type of applications. The limited amount of 5744 I've purchased all came from WSS.

I believe the IMR 4759 is labelled SR4759 and it is an excellent powder for what you are looking for. I have loaded it in many calibers. I also use Trail Boss powder also and find it more accurate and more stable in the cold.
I have played with H4895 reduced loads also and haven't had good results with them, problems from unburnt powder left in case to large velocity variances.

Thank you dogleg and silvertip 13 for the information. Trail Boss sounds interesting as I bench shoot all winter in -10 to -20. I snowblow a path for 400 yrds with targets every 100 yrds. For this summer I will look for the 4759.
