I had the AAC Brakeout on a 10.5 upper that I was using for CQB for a couple of years. I seemed to work real good for me although my safety would always complain that it was one loud nasty B!%#H.

So sound gets directed backwards on the brakeout 1.0? what about the brakeout 2.0?

There was a previous thread on here where some guy found a really extensive comprehensive review and reports of all the major muzzle debices, I think he found it either on the firearms blog or truthaboutguns or something but I dont recall, I should have tagged that thread.

For the brakeout 2.0 seems like its a 40% reduction in recoil, so probably a 40% increase in sound. Sound doesnt really matter since those are both NR guns.

Im just wondering on the recoil impulse, I really want something that just pushes back straight in my shoulder no barrel adjusted movement. I can take care the barrel up and down by just concentrating on my correct stance when shooting and stop being lazy.

I have an AAC 51T Brakeout that I tried on my Mk18, but felt it was too heavy for it. It sits in the spare parts bin, where It'll get used for a RECCE or DMR/SPR build at a later date.

Sounds like your really needing a linear comp that directs/pushes everything forward, thus pushing the recoil straight back.

Have you thought of the Ares Armor Effin-A Mk1 or 2? You could "tune" it to your needs by opening or closing of one of the 32 ports to suit specific needs. I had a Mk1, it was a weighty lil thing (almost 6oz). IIRC TV-Press had a Mk1 Effin-A on his Tavor (??).

Hera Arms & KAW Valley has some new Linear style Comps avail. The Hera small version might be better suited to your Tavor in keeping close to the same profile as your bbl.

Maybe some food for thought even though it doesn't help with the two AAC dilema.

I might just put the 2.0 on my acr since that facker is not light anyway and find something else for my tavor and sell or give away the 1.0

Here's a novel idea, just mount them, shoot it, swap them, shoot again, compare and then you can make an informed decision based on personal experience. You already invested in both so there's nothing to lose, esp if you're willing to give one away without even trying it. Where's the problem?

No chit. The things people find to worry/complain about are just astounding. The Internet has certainly NOT made us any smarter.

Agreed, Try them both and tell us which one you like better. It's not like you're welding them on and can't swap them later. Takes all of about 3 minutes to swap them.
How can anyone else tell you what you'll like?
