Well, it was a little warm yesterday, but what a great day!

There was enough of a breeze to make my first time trying to read mirage rewarding, and keep everyone from melting.

Bob, Ron, and the other volunteers did a great job of keeping everything interesting, but accessible.
I had never shot at 300m before, and am a relative noob to shooting, but anything that was in danger of 'going over my head', was easily and pleasantly explained.
I learned enough, and had a good enough time, recommend this Intro Day to anyone.

Maybe it's time to take Bob's winter course....

Cheers, and thanks to all the volunteers - great job, guys!

I felt the same way as you did. I felt that 300 yards is way too far with the small caliber. (6BR)

To my surprised, it shoot well at 300 yards with a few clicks on the scope. Decided to try to shoot further at the parent's farm, 500 meters (1/2km away). It still shoot amazing groups.
I'm sure you were glad to attend the ORA Introductory Day.

Take Bob's course. It is worth it. Welcome to the addiction of the Ora

My wife shot F-Class at Bisley in the big Millennium shoot. She shot a 6.5-284. Big case, lots of power.

The course of fire involves a week of shooting at 300 to 1000 yards. It was won by a Canadian shooting 6BR. I had no idea that 6BR would be competitive at 1000 yards, but it was.

Glad you enjoyed it, keep an eye on the ORA website for the details and registration for the Winter program.

I've wanted to do this for some time. Last year, my intro day booking got cancelled due to the range being in use. This year I was on vacation. Only one date posted for this season. :(

Bob's winter course is great. You'll learn more information far, far faster than you would shooting on your own and browsing the internet, plus you know Bob and Ken are a credible source.

It's been pretty tough this year with Borden and one of the Pet ranges closed. I'm sure next year (if Borden gets off it's ass) will be alot better for range time.
