abandoned bren carrier

This piece is not just nice, it is completely correct and ready to go fight in the WWII. I'm always impress on how good, people like you, are in fixing mechanical parts! It is a living part of the History. Thanks to keep them alive and thanks for sharing. You have all my admiration!

I lived there 1967 to 70 we lived next to the roller coaster I was 4-5 so wasent far from there ill ask my mom she may remember where.
.

Yes there is: You can visit my workplace. I have a full time job repairing and restoring the vehicles at the RCA museum. While there is a main museum building that is open to the public, the one I work out of is fairly incognito and has everything in there from a folding bicycle to a Grizzly tank....approx 40+ vehicles just indoors with more outdoors.

A Grizzly as in a Canadian Sherman? I found 2 skink turrets out on the old range at Vernon , I told 2 officers I knew who appreciated history and they helped get them recovered.

We have a Grizzly, A ###ton, A 1960s Jagpanzer, a running M109, 3 of the M113 variants, and a russian tracked SA6 launch vehicle. This list does not include the static stuff that's in the main museum. We have a skink turret as well, and a Ram turret too. But the skink turret was saved off a range so has some blast damage. As well, it was one of the unfinished castings.

Why, when I was in Manitoba, did I not attempt to check in with you?

im a little jealous of stencollector owns some pretty cool things and get to play with some rare steel beasts. right now everybody laughs when i say it but my goal is to own a t34-85 one of these days but for now this carrier is within reach and if its still there its got to be saved

Stevenson point near the water tower.

Intresting ,I know the family that own's the lot to the south and they are kinda eccentric. That area is a major shore erosion disaster . I guess I will talk to the lady of the house, and some locals. This could sound promising. Hey Stencollector, intrested?

If my moms memory serves her still the carriers wer used to help hold the sand in place. Give it something to pool around.

I know the current resident having done dyke work there and I think she could be approachable on the subject.I also frequent the local watering hole where some of the oldtimers hang, and will try to rekindle some memories from these guys. Thanks my72jeep now I many hours of day dreaming to do on nite shift. The purpose of the carriers would have been to make a groin to catch sand to make a nicer beach not erosion control by the sound of it which means that they should have been buried perpendicular to the shore.I would assume natural resources have had them removed as a hazard but this subject does deserve a little research ,and will keep you guys posted .
