18 brave souls ventured out in the horrible weather today to help setup and shoot 5 fun and challenging stages at Abby. I'm not sure any of us were prepared for the solar bombardment that happened all day. But sun, sun, sun, sun, sure isn't that hard to shoot in.
Massive thanks to all who showed up and helped us build the match, I honestly didn't expect that many helpers with a last minute notification going out. You guys all rock. Major props to Murray Gardner for all his help, the guy is quite simply an IPSC machine.
Results will take a bit to get entered and figured out, sorry about that (and yeah this is coming from the guy who makes snide remarks reading threads about this happening at other clubs (mostly in Ontario, just cuz I like to make snide remarks at them)) However we lost a member of our RO/MD team to his job today, which meant the number of guys ready to use Practiscore was too low to let us do it. We went with paper and will get them entered in Practiscore as quickly as we can and get results up.
Look forward to more of these matches as we can fit them in. I think you all noticed that we don't lame out when we do club matches. We might not have the best props, but we build damn good stages. Ones that make you think, challenge yourself and sometimes do things you don't feel comfortable doing. I think Club Matches should be the same difficulty as Level III's, and while this wasn't really quite that like, it was a good start to getting back to that.
Finally, thanks again to those who stayed and reshot either a stage or the whole match again. For any one stage you could reshoot for score, we had 5 of those I think. Or for the same fee of $5 you could reshoot the whole match for fun. Some interesing results. These people then had the fun of tearing down the stages and cleaning up. I stayed for Range 5 and part of 4 before heading out to a birthday dinner.
once again, thanks to everyone, you all rock
