Abbotsford IPSC Qualifier Match August 6th

can you post the names? just want to check if mine got through. can't access ipsc bc web. thanks.

Sorry, can't post everyones names on open forum. But we likely got it. No new reg showed up after Tuesday in mailbox.

Great match!

Thanks to Slavex for loaning me his gear so I could shoot. The CZ is a pretty good gun. First time shooting it, and it almost makes me want to get rid of some of my other guns. lol

Really good stages (although i dont have a lot of reference for different ipsc stages....) and great weather. And everyone on my squad was a big help and didn't hesitate to offer advice, which I gladly accepted. :)

I really have to try and do more matches when I go back home, and it gives me a other reason to want to come back to bc.....

Abbotsford had a great 1st qualifier. There were about 70 competitors and by all accounts everyone had a good time. Thank you to the match directors (Eugene & Larry) plus all the people that helped to setup & tear down the stages after the match.

Many thanks to those who helped with setup and tear down, as well as running the match; and to every and each competitor who came out to play today!!!

Huge thanks to everyone, Eugene and Larry for being MD's, all the setup guys, all the tear down guys, and of course to everyone who came out and supported the match. 69 competitors in all. I had a blast, even if I did get bumped to Open (4th overall and a stage win too using my Shadow and PD rig)

Quite an exhilarating day; my first IPSC experience! Looked to be a well organized event, especially as the first qualifier at AFGC (Many more IPSC events to come hopefully) Stages were intriguing, weather was cooperative, rotations looked smooth, safety was king. Very well done everyone!

Only got images of 11/69 competitors, but some of these are excellent with casings flying. Here are a few:

(there's an excellent series of this competitor from drawing, to aiming, to firing, to this one)

there's more raw images that need converting which can't be done until the weekend. there may be more than i thought...hoping for another 100-150 to go through.

one more casing flying shot of the previous batch:

the 'running man series', not shooting anything but they capture some of the action:

You must have got bumped because of the new gold grips.;)
Had a awesome time . Many thanks to all the put it on. The free water at each stage was a nice touch. Thanks to all.

oooh I really like this one!

It is an awesome pic!

But the penalty for breaking 90 looks a little severe.....

:D

I have to say again it was a great time. I haven't been to many ipsc matches, but this was the biggest and best by far.

After using Slavex's kit, I need to get an ipsc rig and I'm seriously thinking of a CZ as well.....

Big thanks to DS Tactical (Daves Surplus) Reliable Guns and Hester Creek Winery for the door prizes. I didn't keep a list of who won what, but you did have to be there to win a doorprize. Reliable provided a gun case, a really nice Dewey pistol cleaning rod and a nice set of dental picks. Dave's dontated 2 Surefire flashlights, 2 sets of eyewear (name brand escapes me right now), some gun lube and a couple other items (sorry, I should have written it down). Hester Creek Winery donated 6 bottles of wine (3 2packs).

heh, there's always photoshop...

Photoshop will let us put the other one back up!

I had a great day despite being exhausted, thanks to Larry and Eugene for their efforts. This match was my qualifier for my Black Badge, my pin and certificate arrived in the mail today from a PO box pretty much across the street. Bets on the thing having taken a trip to Vancouver first? Also I sliced my trigger finger to hell opening the tube, fantastic, proof I shouldn't be allowed a knife. Anyway.. Very happy with how the match went and cant wait to shoot again.
