Big 2 day match for our second match!

We will be running 4 official stages in the morning and 4 in the afternoon each day so you can show up for one or both days.

The match is July 28th and 29th and will start at 10am which means registration goes from 9-9.45 and the match will go till dusk/everyone is done shooting (if you can show up at 8am for setup that would be much appreciated). The match free is $15 for your first gun and $10 for your second. You can shoot the same gun twice each day but only in different divisions, also you can compete in the same division twice as long as it is 2 different days. A great way to see exactly how consistent you are.

Divisions are:
IPSC+USPSA Production
IPSC+USPSA Limited/Standard
IPSC+USPSA Open
Rimfire Iron Sights + no comp.
Rimfire Open
Rimfire Carbine
Pistol Caliber Carbine

All rimfire is .22lr only and no magnum (this includes 10mm) or wildcat pistol cartridges

5 mags or speed loaders will be required for the match as well as a holster or gun bag to move your pistol to and from the line for safety. If you do not have the mags or speed loaders please email me and i will do what i can to help. there will also be a safety area for gunning up/down where no ammo is allowed (you will be disqualified from the match if you are found handling live ammo/snap caps/brass/loaded mags in the safe area).

Prizes ect to be added.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them here or email me

Can I shoot in two different divisions with an Open gun? If not can I shoot Open twice each day - one for score and the other for fun?

Id say yes to two divisions but open guns only fit in one division... Unless you want to call it a pistol carbine.

You can shoot it once for score and once for fun but have to be very deliberate about the first time being for score and the second for fun, no mixing to get the best time ;)

update!

a couple new things to add to the match, first off we are also having a 40ish round IPSC stage on the indoor range for everyone to shoot. There will be a small extra fee for this (to be decided) but should be a ton of fun and also working on some prizes specifically for that stage

and anyone shooting a centerfire pistol who scores under 100 seconds shoots the next match for free

Now an affiliated club, so everyone get their steel challenge membership online at the steel challenge website, its all online and super easy but do it early because you need your card to come in the mail to get your number for score logging

a membership is not required, but it is encouraged and lets you track yourself online against the whole world

Meeting with range inspector at 1pm tomorrow to demo safe use of targets at 7yds. Anyone who can make it down feel free to drop in.
Also, we'll be using hay/straw bales for ricochet stops but would like to build something portable and ligt weight that can be used year round. Any ideas please let Brennan or I know.

Probably just want to show the inspector some video footage of what they do down south. Is this guy making the rounds of Mission, Thompson and PoCo who also shoot steel?

You should probably show up at 8 or 830.

They said they were allowing up to two guns per day, so I plan to shoot rimfire open and iron sight one day and then open and standard for main match. I don't think you can shoot the same gun twice unless you shoot in different classes. Eg, shooting a standard gun in standard and open.

Doesn't work out for flights. I can be there early on Sunday and leave late both days. I'll show you my pistol carbine for the second shoot.

registration is 9-9.45, sat we will be dragging targets out so showing up early then would be a help, but we are just leaving the afternoon stages up on sat and will shoot those first sunday so no need to show up earlier than 9 on sunday :D

D if you want to send me an email with your info for classes and what not i will put you in a squad and you can join up, shooting starts at 10 so you will just end up being later in the order of your squad

Thanks! Earliest flight gets me there at 9:00 and I'm guessing and hour to get there with luggage/rental driving time...

20 minutes from the Abby airport dude. and luggage is pretty quick, but your 1 hour guess is probably still pretty good.

Can you PM me your email so I can give information. Looking to shoot Open both days and Pistol Carbine with my Open gun both days if that's ok.
