Bit of a tangent here but how do you find the accuracy compared to your Coopers? I love how the Kimbers look but they seem to have picked up a reputation for poor quality control resulting in poor quality. Haven't figured out if this was a transient problem that has since been fixed.
nice piece. TD is likely a date code, BHB is (guessing) Blued Heavy Barrel??
Haven't owned either, but the Kimber of Oregon is a different company than the new Kimber, of Yonkers NY. The Oregon models are compared more to Coopers than the new Kimbers, as Dan Cooper of Cooper Firearms worked for Kimber of Oregon before they went bankrupt, then went on his own. Bit of an interesting read...

I had a Kimber of Oregon .22LR SVT, the most accurate rimfire I've ever shot. Placed second in a 200 yard .22 match, shooting 2.27" for a five shot group with a rimfire, literally a smidge over MOA at 200 yards. Eagleye actually shot even better than that if you can believe it, forget what he was shooting.
A close friend had a Kimber of Oregon in 222 Remington.
After about 250 rounds of load testing and hunting for the magic "bullet", we gave up.
That sucker would not shoot under 1¼ moa, no matter what.
He sold it shortly thereafter.
Beautiful to look at, but not up to snuff at all.
Hope this one is better.

Well if you want to find out about your Kimber of Oregon 222, go to www.rimfirecentral.com, the guys there are interested in rimfires, but its full of top knotch collectors of the brand, they will give you the low down on your rifle! Hope this help, but I almost bought a gun similiar to your's in 222, but that calibre is to BLAW to me, the workmanship was superb!

Nice checkering, that's quality stuff unlike what you find on almost everything today.
Great gun steyrman, Im no collector but picked up this one a month ago. A Colton Oregon 89 BGR in 280 Rem. Weird serial number, does it have any significance? It was in great shape and had nice wood.
