I'm going to be loading for the judge and the big boy. I have 250gr lead and some rcbs cowboy action dies.
So i loads some 250gr with 11.9gr blue dot and get avg. 1200fps.
1 - Is 1200 fps to much for the lever action?
2 - Is this load going to be to much for the judge?
3 - I had a few that took a little force to chamber. Do i need to crimp or not explain the brass as much?
Not sure if blue dot is a good powder for the colt or not. What dose everyone else use.
