About to buy an M-14, am I missing anything?

wwwaaaayyyy off topic here, but if you look in 45acpking's mirror there, on the table is a skull!

Got lots of those just laying around 45acpking? competition?

;)

LOL
i got that at wallymart for 3.99 hehehe halloween bin :D
we actually stuck it to the hood of my jeep on a moose hunt a few weeks back..... lasted the whole trip only to blow off on the highway last weekend on the way to my deer spot.

gots to get me another one of them hehehehe :D

it's a pity they weren't cheap- we used to fire things like that from a home made catapult at halloween- smallish pumpkins too

I am planning on shooting this rifle at the range, as well as using it for hunting.:).

I agree with 45APCKING.

I hunt with mine and unless you are going to be hunting with a quad, I would keep it at light as posible. Mine tips the scale at 14 lbs with a scope, bipod and original chu wood and yes, I hunt with a quad :D. not something I would like to pack around all day.

Like tiriaq and t-star said, buy the rifle first. Do the small tweaks first and THEN decide if you want to spend big bucks on it. This rifle is a money pit and you can get way out of hand on stuff that really doesn't do anything other than look kool.

If you live in the lower mainland of BC (hint hint Tom), you should attend the next "Wet Coast M-14 Clinic's" and learn from some smart cookies whne it comes to the Norc M-14.

I live in Saskatoon, so the nearest one is likely the one in Edmonton soon, which seems to be full, and which I likely will not have a rifle for, so I'll have to wait for the next one in the prairies area.
