Federal AM22 at AMMOSUPPLY site sponsor was available recently and is decent to shoot.
Thanks, I'll keep it in mind.
Just got out to make sure everything functioned properly. Got off about 100 rounds of Winchester 36 grain, 1280 fps, copper plated, hollow point through the original 10 round, and an HC3R. The Winchester fed reliably through both the 10, and HC3R mags. Picked up a fallen branch about 2" in diameter, stuck it in the ground/snow and shot at it with a back stop in a low basin like depression that is probably pretty wet/marshy when not frozen over. It's more accurate than I probably am from a standing position, I was reliably hitting the branch from about 15-20 yards with the original iron sights, but beyond 20 and I was having difficulty and missing more like 1/5. But not bad considering I haven't shot in about 5-10 years. I can already tell I don't like the original front sight. Maybe something with a fiber optic.
Gonna take the wife to the local range sometime this week and get her shooting too.
And not that the .22LR and the 10/22 are loud, but I got some relatively cheap electronic ear muffs (~$35). Was surprised at how well they did today. All you really hear is a light "thup".
