Hi All,
I am starting my 7 y/o daughter on skeet soon. I got her a Mossberg Super Bantam in 20 which is close to fitting well (better than anything else we tried).
I would like to load a super light 20ga, but not sure where to start. I have a supply of Win209 primers, CB 3/4 wads, 9 shot. I only shoot 700x in my 12ga, but its not the right powder for this, so will be buying??
I think that green dot is recommended for light 20g experimenting. I am also going to mod a bushing on my MEC Jr to throw about 5/8oz.
At first I am going to start her just on primers just to get her accustomed to pulling the trigger and not developing a flinch.
I suspect I am targeting 5/8 oz at 950fps, maybe less. She will only be shooting 1/7 outgoing and incoming, so speed isn't super important.
I am worried about recoil though... that little gun is just over 5 lbs..
Thanks
David
