My dad, my brothers and I were having the same problem as the land our camp hunted was shrinking every year. We live 20 mins south of ottawa and get alot of hunters from the city. It got to the point where we were dogging for everyone and there mother... but its crown land so what can you do. We would build stands and would find people in them all the time. My dad did very well for himself so he bought a 1000 acres NW of ottawa and built his retirement home there and thats where we hunt now. But we still find people hunting our land all the time. Always the same excuse " this is crown isn't it?" One time we found a camp set up on our property of ten guys... a large dining tent... about six sleeping tents..they cut down a dozen trees and had already shot a dozen grouse. (they set up through the week before my mom and dad moved there) They even refused to move on at first and called us every name under the sun for kicking them out. If my brothers and I were not there they wouldn't have left. There are no trespassing signs on every trail onto the property I just don't get it. Every summer we find hundreds of spent shotgun shells on the tails and so far have fount two gut piles during the bow season.
