Over the year I have been collecting various 870 parts, stocks, barrels, etc. I love the 870 platform and how flexible it is.

I laid out all the parts on the table:
All%20870%20parts%20sm.jpg

Barrels: 30", 18", 12.5"

Receivers: 870 Wingmaster, grizzly MAG

Stocks: LEO top folder, pistol grip, black plastic, checkered wood

Accessories: Receiver picatinny rail, side saddle, cap sling mount, mag extension/mag clamp

Sights: Vortex strikefire, ghost ring

Total spent on everything above was $1050 (all used of the EE)

Here are a few combos I came up with:

What would you combine!? :D:D:D (keep in mind, some combinations would classify the shotgun as restricted)

does any one know if the dominion arms grizzly action from frontier firearms has to be shipped to a dealer cause the closest one to me is hours and it'd be nice to get one in the mail box i guess only if the were not complete or 80%ers

i am not sure exactly what your trying to say perhaps if you used sentences and or puntuation it might be clearer then again maybe not after all a nonrestricted gun can be shipped right to your door no need to use a dealer what exactly is the 80% about

Op: Yes, the 870 is the 10/22 of the shotgun world, I have a few of my own I play dress-up with.

looked up frontier firearms and I dont think the sell dominion arms grizzlies at all, let alone just actions.

the only place the has mag fed's right now is Epps I think, but norinco brand (essentially the same), they ship....

i think the next shot gun i buy will be a grizzly mag feed with a 12.5" barrel...

anyone know if i put a folding stock on it if it would make it a restricted?

looking at the parts lay out of the OP, why not?
am i wrong?....i am a nube to shottys, what will interchange between 870, DA 8.5 GRIZZ, and mag fed DA GRIZZ?
do the DA's have a "twin" Norinco model?
edit...after looking at my 8.5, u mabey could...BUT it would require moding the forgrip/pump to such a short lenth i wouldnt give room fore your hand to operate...you could put a handle out the side to operate it...anything is possible with enough time and money!

I'd do the mag fed Grizz with the short barrel and wood furniture!!!

I have combined that, then realized that this wood fore end is too long and interferes with the mag well/magazine. Need a police wood fore end! The side saddle was pointless in this configuration anyway...

This fore end also interferes with the side saddle on a regular 870, so I currently dont have the wood furniture on either shotgun.

Is there a kit you can buy to make your 870 mag fed?

no there is not. you would have to machine the receiver for the mag well, modify the trigger group, and get a new bolt carrier.

if a kit was available, a machinist would probably charge you the price of a new mag fed just to do the modification
