Accidentally loaded some 308 rifle rounds with pistol primers.

I took them apart and I'm glad that I did.
I had 25 of the same load with large rifle primers and a few of them seem to have stretched a bit near the head.
The bolt was slightly harder to open but nowhere near stuck.

I'll start a new thread tonight with pics to figure out what happened.
They were already fired once in the same rifle and were only neck sized.
The cases were all checked with a case gauge before being loaded and still fit in the case gauge without sticking. OAL WAS 2.800 so I shouldn't be on the rifling.
I need to pickup a headspace gauge.

Good job in pulling the bullets!

Better safe than sorry, ALWAYS!

By being cautious, I have only had a couple of primer puctures over the years. Nothing bad happened thank goodness!

I noticed that some reloaders who are experienced, get very casual about primer malfuntion/piercing.
This seems extreamly careless!
A pierced primer should be an accident, not pushed to that point.

You can only cross a street blindfolded, so many times before you pay the price!

There, thats my little saftey blurb.
