I am new to this site and I need advice on my Savage 110 7MM Rem Mag trigger. Mine is a few years old and did not come with AccuTrigger. The trigger pull is a lot - it feels like 6 to 8 lbs. I have a couple of questions :
- Can I adjust this trigger without geometry mods (like grinding or filing the sear or messing with bending springs etc.). Is there a set screw adjustment on this model?
- Can I buy an Accutrigger from Savage and simply remove the existing trigger and install the Accutrigger without grinding and filing ( I am not a gunsmith )?
- Is there an aftermarket trigger good for hunting that I can dial in to 3 to 4 lbs with a safe operation

Cheers

Rifle Basix is what I had on my savage, Works great and you can buy directly from them , Accutrigger is junk anyways...

Anyone buy a accutrigger from Savage and replace the existing trigger ?
Assuming you could buy one( and I am not sure you can) ,it would likely cost more than the rifle basix trigger . I have the accutrigger on my 10xp predator and, while it is decent, it is no premium trigger. The accutrigger might not even fit your rifle for that matter.

I've had mixed luck with the Accutrigger. It's excellent in my Savage MKII BTVS in 22LR, it was a total POS in my previous Savage 10BA in 308, that later being a "target grade" variant. I think the standard Accutrigger is certainly an upgrade over the standard Savage unit.
