i just bought this new rifle, laminate stainless left hand 30-06 and am curious what accuracy people are getting out of the box with this rifle with premium factory ammunition? feel free to throw in what you would feed it for lager deer size game

i love the overall fit and finish of this rifle as its my first lefthanded heres hoping they shoot half decent!

thanks for the imput

I'm getting one and a half, to a little over two inches out of mine with Cheapy 180 grain Winchester ammo. It depends on how poorly I'm shooting. I've never tried good ammo or handloads, but I'm sure it's capable of much better. Good enough for me, though.

My ruger is giving me an average of .7" at 100m. This is with handloads and shooting from a dirty barrel( after 10 shots). From a clean barrel it will print 1.5" to 2".
Premium ammo should do well also. I have not done a thing to the rifle this is out of the box. It also gives me 3" groups at 300M. Rugers IMO have excellent accuracy but the two that I have owned shot way better from a dirty barrel.

I have the same rifle in 308, shoots great out of the box, and yes, for whatever reason it seems to like having a dozen shots through it before getting real accurate, that or I just get better after a dozen shots lol

Well it ain't a lefty and it ain't a .30-06, but my M77 MkII SS/laminate .338 WinMag put the first 3 rounds I fired (brand new) of Federal 225gr factory loads into .87" @ 100yards  My partners agreed it was a keeper. And that was before the gunsmith even worked on the trigger. Damn fine accuracy for a medium bore, knock around hunting rifle if you ask me. The Rugers I've tried tend to shoot just fine except for one older tang safety .300Mag that kicked like a freakin' mule  Enjoy your new rifle.

Ruger 77 MkII

I once had a NIB wood/blued Ruger 77 MkII 6.5x55mm that I bought that shot sub 1" right outta the box with factory ammo... kinda wished I'd kept 'er... :(

I have the same rifle except mine in s/s and is right handed. You will not regret buying this rifle. It is truly a hunting rifle. I cant remember right at the moment what mine is shooting at but I think its 3" high at a 100 yards.
