Hello,
I have heard people discussing increases in accuracy if you have a chassis compared to a wood stock.
I’d like a better understanding on what is causing this increase.

From what I have gathered it’s to do with barrel contact?
Can someone please go into further detail.

Also at what ranges would you expect to see noticeable differences with a 22LR and accuracy from having a chassis.

Thanks
Doug

There is no reason to assume that a barreled action properly assembled in a chassis will be more accurate than if properly bedded in a wood stock.

More accurate when? Riding bags? Bipod prone? Off a random barricade?
A chassis is more about ergonomics than mechanical accuracy.
