Accuracy International 2500 round rifle review.

Awesome!

Problem is mine is not the folder =( Wonder if I convert that which helps with some of my dislikes (removing cheek riser to remove bolt, bore sighting, cleaning, etc).

That won't matter, the rear section detaches in front of the hinge (folder or non folder). You can see the chassis pin at the right edge of the picture below. The real bugger is I'm pretty certain they epoxy it before they slide that section on and pin it which might make it fun to get the current rear end off.

Thanks for the info. I've taken a few panels off for various things, but never fully.

How do you like the AW trigger? Have you compared it to the AT's?

I looked into swapping the butt stocks between my AX and my AT, my original plan was to buy the new chassis system and swap that one onto the AT. Unfortunately once I had the two rifles broken down I quickly learned the epoxy would be a major problem, also the two main bolts holding it on are loctite pretty good. At this point I decided to not go any further, didn't exactly want to screw up these pretty expensive rifles even though it would work if you can get around the epoxy. I took a bunch of pic's if anyone is interested.

Yup ..AI make very nice toys to play with ..... I like the aw. My self .... Lol....... Just love the looks people give when then say is that an accuracy international!!!!!!

Never shot the AT yet but AW, AX and AT all have the same trigger mechanism. Mine is fantastic for a two stage.

I wasn't sure. Read the AE had a different trigger to the AT/AX. Wasn't sure where the AW fell.

After adjusting mine it's much better. It came pretty bad - sometimes crept and very firm pull after a very light first stage.

I reduced engagement and increased first stage to make it feel light, while still retaining a higher pull weight. I like it MUCH better now.

Finally got around to fixing all the dead pics for this. RIP Photobucket, long live Imgur.

They are just so pretty aren't they? I am currently looking for a new set of skins for mine, I won't go with the viperskins as I think it ruins the classic look.

I find the trigger on my AWSM is a little lighter than my AX trigger but I like the AX trigger a touch more. The shoe is a bit wider and has the grooves in it which IMO gives it a touch nicer feel.

J996, can you give us an update on this thread. Do you still have the same barrel, what is the round count and how is the accuracy?

I pulled the Walther barrel at around 3700 rounds as it was just not as accurate anymore (still alright though). Insite arms made me a new barrel and I went with a 26” heavy palma. I installed it myself using an AI action wrench (very easy). I did not get to shoot much this year, but when I did finally get time the accuracy was stellar (five round groups in the .2’s and .3’s).
