Hey all

So picked up a 700 police ltr in .308 with a nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 the other day and have had my eye on on the AI AICS stock to put the rifle in.

However my problem is I dont know anyone who has one or anyone who has used one. So I was wondering what people here thought about it and how it has worked for them in the field . I intend to go hunting and actually using this rifle as more then a glorified 800 meter hole puncher so anyone with some field experience with one of these would be great to get your thoughts.

And of course this wouldnt be much of a thread without pics so here is a pic of the rifle as it sits (has a harris bipod and will probably be adding the badger ordnance tactical bolt knob at some point)

I had my custom in a 2.0 folder with a 22 inch m24 contour. Heavy. I hunted with it. Heavy, but I hit stuff. I don't like traditional style hunters but there was one day I wish I was hiking with 7 points vs 17. I have an eberlstock pack so that made it easier. I still miss mine. Just the most comfortable so far for me, but I know some that don't like it at all. Folder is 5.6lbs by itself I believe.

the only thing I know is that if you are getting a 1.5 which is a fixed stock version, it would be really pain in the arse every time you try to remove the bolt and clean your barrel/bore sighting, cuz the cheek piece would block its way out. thats why people prefer the 2.0 which is a folding stock version that you could fold up your buttstock easily and make its way for the bolt to come out.

just my $0.02

I don't know where you're getting this from... My 1.5 cheek piece does not get in the way of the bolt...
Plenty or room...
