The AI trigger guard is too wide for my same-keyed Master trigger locks.
It's a fixed stock so removing the bolt each time doesn't work (have to remove the cheekpiece).

What works?

Using a cable tie at the moment.

If you can find something like this open the bolt and run the lock through the mag well.

I have one of those and would like a few more. Where did you get yours? I can't seem to find d ones like that on Amazon or ebay. Maybe I'm using the wrong search words.

***Found them at Al Flaherty's!***

Remove the bolt, done. I do it on my Desert Tech all the time. I have to remove the butt pad and bolt spacer. Takes extra 30 seconds. No risk of scratching your rifle.

Heaven forbid your PRS rifle gets scratched!!!

it is in a locked container that is made of an opaque material and is of such strength, construction and nature that it cannot readily be broken open or into or accidentally opened during transportation; and

(d) if it is in a container described in paragraph (c) that is in an unattended vehicle,

(i) when the vehicle is equipped with a trunk or similar compartment that can be securely locked, the container is in that trunk or compartment and the trunk or compartment is securely locked, and

(ii) when the vehicle is not equipped with a trunk or similar compartment that can be securely locked, the vehicle, or the part of the vehicle that contains the container, is securely locked and the container is not visible from outside the vehicle.

So just throw a lock through your rifle case zippers and be done with it.

That's the section for restricted firearms. The non-restricted portion does not state the need for a container.

Canada Legal Code said:
(2) Subject to subsection (3), an individual may transport a non-restricted firearm in an unattended vehicle only if

(a) when the vehicle is equipped with a trunk or similar compartment that can be securely locked, the non-restricted firearm is in that trunk or compartment and the trunk or compartment is securely locked; and

(b) when the vehicle is not equipped with a trunk or similar compartment that can be securely locked, the non-restricted firearm is not visible from outside the vehicle and the vehicle, or the part that contains the non-restricted firearm, is securely locked.

I found if you turn the lock around so the bar mechanism is behind the trigger you can get a few clicks with the master locks, least on the combination ones I use.

I have at least a dozen keyed cable locks that came with firearms I have purchased. I hate them.

With so many locks I only use combination types now. That's just too many keys to keep track of.

As I mentioned earlier in found them at Al Flaherty's for $10 so I bought three. My P226 with a light, my Marlin 1894, AI AE, and Tavor all need cable locks. I like to be able to lock them in case I have to leave them in the truck or outside the safe for some reason.

Thanks for the purchase, we sell mountains of those locks, and I'd echo the sentiment about keeping track of keys. Getting to the range and finding you don't have the right key is not a good day.
