But what is with this funky safety, it seems to have 3 positions, like safe, safer and safest. Seems like a good system, I am just concerned when the time comes to shoot my first deer or my next bear, I might slip it halfway and miss my shot.

I should've never sold it... but what came along for me was a minty Rem 700 Classic and a NIB Tikka 695 stainless synthetic both in 6.5x55mm. The Tikka is a tack driver and the Rem 700 is a safe queen. Should've kept that Ruger, though.
