it's been a long time since I looked closely at my Kentucky, but i don't think anythin really can be loose, other than maybe the lock plate (or the sights).

I'm with sunray. Something is moving to cause this inconsistency. First shot makes POA, swab bore, 2nd shot is in outerspace, repeat, 3rd shot= outerspace...What is truly weird is the OP states this happens every time he takes the rifle out!? So what...everything corrects itself in the case on the way home or in the gun lock up after cleaning? {Next weekend 1st shot POA...then 2dn,3rd shots in outer space}
