Got to get out about two weeks ago and do some long awaited testing, I tested out 5 rds. in my Mosin 91/30 using the 215 gr. Accurate FN bullet I had cast up awhile back. I used 34.0 grs. of H-4895 as a starter load which is not a max load as far as the velocity / accuracy threshold goes but it's a keeper regardless. I still have some 35 & 36 gr. loads to test out next time around and I'll get the chrono out to get some velocity reading on the original 34.0 gr. load as well the additional test loads. A gentlemen that I think was using quick loads told me I was probably in the 1800 fps. range with my current load.

1800 fps might be all you get with decent accuracy use a similar bullet for my Lee enfield and 9130, with the same powder and find when you get up to 1900 fps accuracy seems to suffer, each gun is different but thats my observation

+1!

I run my Lyman 314299 up to 1800 with great results. Past that groups open up. That’s with tin sweetened water dropped COWW. BHN around 24 with my Lee tester. If your only target shooting you may be able to get faster with a harder alloy.

powder coat and push that bullet! would be interesting to do 5 and 5 with the same load and see how accuracy changes if any.
