I have an old Marlin 336 SC that I inherited, I think it was manufactured in 53.
Shooting Leverevolution (160gr flex tip) I can get a pretty decent group, 1 1/2 or so. But what else can I do to make it accurate? The 336SC does not have a barrel band, so I can't mess with that. The trigger is pretty good, probably from years of use.
The smith that tapped it for a scoped, botched it and the base is a little off, so I replaced the rings with wind age adjustable rings and got the scope straight. (200 yd shots were 5 inches right) haven't shot it since re scoping.
I scoped it with a Nikon 2-7X32 shotgun scope.
Any tips and tricks would be great.
