I was given this single shot .22 and have research it but found absolutely nothing on it's history. It's not a toy and will work just fine for a survival gun when I fly up north. Anyone know anything about it?

Got a picture? Most of the guys here can almost tell you more by looking at it.

Picture please.
Before WW2, single shot 22 rifles were turned out by a few manufacturers for any number of retailers, such as the larger hardware chains. Each firm getting these guns would have a name of their own on it.
This would likely be where "ACE," came from and could easily be more than a kissing cousin to an Eatonia, from Eaton's store. Every big hardware firm, including McCleod's, had a gun.

Yep need a picture. I know for a fact that pre-1961 Cooey listed Ace, Ace1 and Ace2 among other models in its inventory.

A tidbit I just found.

Pre-1961 Cooey Mfg. models include: 25, 35, 39, 55, 60, 62, 75, 78, 82, Ace, Ace1, Ace2, Ace3, Ace Repeater, Ace Special, Bisley Sport, Canuck, Canuck 25, Canuck Jr., Canuck Western, Cooey Repeater, HWC, Mohawk, and several unnumbered single shot and repeating sporter rifles. Post-1961 Cooey Firearms made by winchester were Model 10, 39, 60, 600, 64, 64 Delux, 64A, 64B, 71, 71 Carbine, 75, 750 delux, 710, and Ranger.

I've tried to attach a photo but no joy. I've even ask help from my wife, oh that hurt, but still nothing. Is it possible I do not have that privilege because I just joined the forum today?

Here's a sticky on posting photos to the forum. I don't know if you'll be able to read it though if you're not a member of the OT. Perhaps the mods may move it to a place where all can read it.
