I was think of using stormwetks side folder mech for standard ar tubes. Thread in the socom stock.

Any tips? Lots if money to experiment with. Any opinions on the socom stock?

I was thinking about that 2 years ago. Bought stormwerkz side-folder attachment and attachment point for VZ 58. After playing with folding mechanism and I decided that that folding mechanism might be bit too week for such a heavy stock as socom, it is made from aluminum.
I bought Galil stock from Israeli weapons instead. It is really solid made from steel.

I setup an Ace SOCOM stock on an Ace side folder and Storwerkz mount, and though its very solid when its extended, it seems less than confidence enspiring when its folded, and having a stock tube of that size right next to the receiver, isn't very compact. I'm in the process of trying to setup the SOCOM stock with simply an AR adapter, and forgetting the idea of a side folding version.

I think if I were wanting a side folder, I would go with a far slimmer and more compact original CZ folder stock. They can be purchased for relatively cheap, and that way you'll have to seperate stock setups for changing between. I originally wanted the side folding AR style stock for the convenience of collapsing the gun's length for transport, but after seeing how it all went together, I wasn't happy with that setup.

A SOCOM is very short and compact with only an AR adapter tube coming away from the receiver, and this setup is simple without the complexity of the folding mechanism added to the mix.

ye I got the stock folder, I just want to make it straight not angeled. Only issue I have with the stock setup.

If you have a blow torch original folder can be bend upwards a bit. I was thinking at one point to have original folder cut down to use its folding mechanism and adding aluminum pipe with butt cup made from folded aluminium to use it as self design folder
