ACE Skeleton in stock anywhere? Tube sleeve alternatives?

With this COVID19 mess, I've got more spare time on my hands, premium parts are collecting dust, so I figured I'd complete my competition rifle build, as I had to leave my old one in South America. Really loved the Ace Skeleton stock, so I'd love to rock one again. The only place that I saw carries them is TNA but they're out of stock. I also don't like the fact that the foam sleeve gets beat up pretty quick and sticks to the buffer tube, so I'd like to get an alternative, but last time I ordered the $20 cf sleeve from the manufacturer, it ended up costing me over $100 in duties and brokerage, so I wanted to check if there are any alternatives...

1) So, my first question is if anyone has the stock in stock? If not, would it be expected for TNA to get more in, within a couple of months? It's not like the prepper types are lining up for it; they'll either go with A2 or Magpul lol

2) Can I just get some PVC tubing, cut it to length, taper the ends and Krylon Fusion it? Otherwise, my only options would be to go with the foamie or spend an extra c-note?

3) What if I just had my little bro order it in the TX and then ship it my way? Is it an ITAR item or would it be a Kosher option?

Thanks in advance for any info!

First thing's first: Thanks guys!

What about pipe insulation? its black foam and I am assuming that a 1" dia would be a possible match?

Pipe insulation would probably get beat up even more than the OEM foam sleeve and those are cheap enough, just a hassle to clean the outside of the tube, come replacement time.

What is it your after.?? You got a link to a picture...I may have one sitting in the bin!

Here's the most common setup for those stocks.. As you can see, the sleeve goes over the buffer tube:

6 years ago, when I did a mini-rifle build with that stock, I also picked up a cf tube since the foamy got beat up pretty quickly

That one worked well and didn't negatively affect my cheek-weld. It was a thin carbon fiber tube that was tapered at the ends for a snug fit. Ended up costing me over $100 due to UPS' customs and brokerage fees for a $20 US-made part (thought it was a NAFTA item). Now they seem to be unavailable, so I'm thinking PVC would be a good alternative.

This picture of my old mini-rifle build shows the screw on the back plate, that pushes the back plate forward, thus wedging the tube in place (yes, the pic was taken while it still had the foam sleeve):

So, it should be a piece of PVC that should fit over an A2 (*) buffer tube but its inside diameter shouldn't be too far beyond that, as I'd need to taper it so it wedges into the front and back slots (so it won't roll, which could throw off my shots).

(*) I am also positive it's A2, but it's been a while since I've done the build, so I forget.. Will do my homework before I get to that point, though

Love those stocks. You have good taste. I have one I've been tempted to mount on my Stag10.

Thanks! That came as a recommendation from one of the top mini-rifle shooters who also broke into top-100 rifle shooters (globally) and is a solid shotgunner. After I commenting on one of the match videos, we got in touch and still got each other on Facebook. He gave me a lot of good tips for the mr build (in preparation for my temporary move to a South American country where you can't own a centerfire autoloader).

Part # RS-DBSTA101B
Claims to be in stock here:

Has to wait for their next shipment to Canada, which is in June. I may reach out to TNA first and if not, I can always order from these guys.

What diameter ID And or OD CF tube do you require?

AliExpress has all kinds of options, often free shipping though often 2-10 weeks for shipping
