Achtung! 2 Real Ugly ZF41 K98's

Was it renumbered, repro sight base and rail, etc???

The pics I got didn't show the action or the scope and mount in any detail. As poor as the pics were, the fake stock was very obvious. I suspect at least some of the action was correct but I would need a lot more details to make that call. It's a shame really. Had it been an original untouched ar44 n block, zf-41, in a legit semi-km stock, it would have been a spectacular rifle.

late war "ar" code K98 ZF41 sniper rifle manufactured by Mauser-Werke, A.-G., Werk Borsigwalde, Berlin-Borsigwalde, Eichborndamn. The top of the receiver ring is marked "eagle//ar/44" and on the left of the receiver ring is the serial number with N"block and Nazi proof eagle stamp and the right side is marked with two eagle proofs . The breech end of the barrel is marked with a Nazi firing proof followed by a shield "44 N 40" and the right side of the rear sight is marked with an "eagle proof. The left side wall is marked "Mod. 98". Blade front sight with hood and tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. The front barrel band and floor plate are stamped and the rear barrel band and trigger guard are stamped and marked BYF and 2 small eagle over 135 proof stamps the follower is stamped and had a small eagle proof. The rifle is mounted with a laminated stock and handguard with a cupped butt plate with firing pin take down hole and there is a eagle over WAa135 stamped on the right side of butt.
The ZF41 scope has clear optics and is marked JVE( Ernst Ludwig. Optisches Werke Weixdorf) over ZF41/1 and is complete with both sunshades and original JVE marked scope can.
Rifle has a combination of Phosphate and blued parts. Numbers on bolt root, bolt shroud and cocking piece match the rifle, the bolt body has 2 round gas holes and no guide rib. Over all condition is excellent with no evidence of sanding or refinishing and bore is probably 7 out of 10 wi
The AR44 coded rifles are rare and a ZF41 variant are rarely ever seen.$7500.00

Could someone post pics of it so we could perform an autopsy and a critical analysis of the beast!

No doubt it will show up for sale again and someone will get burned on the deal
if it’s as bad as everyone says it is. Better to log it and have it for future reference.
