An even better one!!! This is one of three of this painted pattern of helmet known to exist. The other two reside in the collections of two good friends of mine. They came out of estates of WW1 veterans who served in North Russia with the A.E.F.

Helmet, Steel, Airborne Troops - commonly referred to as the British Fibre Banded Airborne Helmet - manufactured by "BMB" Briggs Motor Bodies in 1942. This particular example was brought back to Canada at the end of the war by a chap from the Royal Westminster Regiment who acquired in Holland in 1945. It is named to a French (Algerian) soldier from 3 SAS.

Helmet, Steel, Airborne Troops MkII - named to a Polish Glider Troop who participated in the Battle of Arnhem, Holland in September 1944. Found after the war by a local resident.

Helmet, Steel, Airborne Troops - an unnamed but a perfectly correct example of how the "face veil" was used as a helmet net and held in place under the fibre band. Although it cannot be determined specifically about this particular helmet, this was a common modification on helmets worn within 1st British Airborne Division.

really nice helmets guys, i started collecting military stuff when i was about 7, first thing i bought was a 1942 Canadian helmet and shortly after that i bought a ww1 helmet, i only have the 2 helmets cause those things are pricey when your young :) but i am thinking about getting back into them and i would love to get a German helmet what are the going rates of them?

Blista-
German helmets in original shape can start as low as $4-500 for a decent no decal.
A single decal heer can be $600 to 1500.
SD lufts are priced decently too.

There are some affordable options.
