ackley cases- length?

I just got a shilen barrel chambered in .223 AI, the chamber has .050 freebore and a .252 neck.

My question is, is the trim length the same for ackley cases as it is for their regular non- ackley counterparts?

I am guessing with the long freebore I have a lot of room in there, so its probably not a concern but I thought I better ask some advice.

The ackleys are all the same trim length as the parent cartridge.

Ackley cases after fireforming are often shorter than the original case length. Mur

Square the case mouth with your trimmer after forming your brass. You will likely not need to trim again with that brass. Shouldn't stretch much at all with your custom chamber and the straight wall design.
