ackley improved weatherby

hello all, i have never turned any calibers into an ackley improved, but i have always thought about it, there is lots of calibers that can be converted to the AI, my question is can a .300 weatherby be ackley improved? if so what are the benefits? would this be a worthwhile conversion? any info would be great, thanks.

I don't think there would be much benefit with an AI conversion. The AI cases usually have minimum body taper and sharp shoulders, the Weatherby case is already there.

Yeah..I think the WBY already has no or little taper....and if you take away the double radius shoulder then...well is it really a WBY anymore ?

Not to mention Ackly's original loadings were notoriously hot, Weatherby is already there.
