Acl @ cfsac

My $0.02

As far as I am concerned, ACL did quite a good job. The staff did their best to overcome challenges as they came up. Most of them were quite friendly and didn't mind having a chat or two when there was a chance.

Funny I never saw the boss doing anything other than talking to his staff, sorting out problems and trying to get things to run smoother. But I probably wasn't around for enough of the competition. ;)

CFSAC 2010 Sniper matches cancelled

Sniper matches are cancelled. The reasoning is that The Sniper Cell in Gagetown runs a perfectly good and in all ways superior series of matches as part of the CISC. Money is an issue of course.

Well the problem with that is you can't shoot it unless invited so how does that help every day soldiers learn about doping wind and such?Having some sort of longer range match at CFSAC IS needed!

Sometimes the best points are brought up by shooters speaking their minds in an open forum.

I'll wholeheartedly agree with this however I'd like to caution some that this forum is not as open as people think. I was hauled in front of someone in order to explain myself because he didn't like the fact that I had posted comments criticising the way that the NSCC matches (practice week for CFSAC) had been run in 2008. This same individual (who's a member here) saw fit to forward my comments to my chain of command. Even though I had done nothing wrong and received no sort of administrative action against me I was not allowed to compete in Australia or Bisley this year despite qualifying for both teams.

Big Brother is watching.

ACL does not plan the matches.

They execute the plan that they're given by LFDTS.

The matches that are run are defined by LFDTS.

At this time, there is no official doctrine regarding a DM position (I think) so there's no weight behind having a DM match.

NS you are correct about the no DM position, but having just returned from accross the pond a year ago I can tell you that the DM rifles, AR10 and C7CT are being used alot. I won't get into how many are being used but I saw a few of them daily. So a DM shoot would have some weight behind it. We just need LFDTS to recognize it.
