ACOG and PE90

I have a question regarding optics, and the mounting thereof on a Classic Green.

I have a new Classic Green with the diopter sites on it and in the future would like to mount an ACOG on it. The issue as I see it is to just barely clear the rear sight drum of the rifle with the ocular lens area of the chosen optic.

What I am considering is mounting a TA01NSN which comes with the TA51 mount on either a Rooster rail or the rail made by T&B. Other variables could be the ARMS #19L, 19LD, or 19 ACOG mount on either of the two rails. Differences in the above mentioned rails are their height, or thickness.

Does someone out there have an idea as to what will work best?

- 2 rail heights to chose from
- 2 ACOG mounts to chose from

Thanks for any input. Hopefully when I doing the buying it will be only once, and with the right gear to get the job done, and yes I am decided on the ACOG.

I did a big extensive research on ACOGS for the PE 90 and I found the best to match the barrel length, and can mount on the available rails were the TA31F or TA31RCO-A4CP series. It comes with the TA51 mount that is a see through so you can use the diopter sights. There might be a slight modification to be done on the TA51 where the screws might be a tad long in the the base and can obstruct the view of the diopter sights but those can be changed for shorter ones.

My setup is the same as Speckfire has, well, almost, I'm using a newer generation of the rail, but thats about it.

is this setup comfortable for you? Gave the same setup a try but for me the cheek rest is too high, without it it's just about right.

hehehe i only put the cheek rest on for the pic i also have a leupold mark4 cq/t which i have to use the cheek rest. its also a fun scope to use
