Stick to the brand name ones dont buy the hong kong ones the rectangle falls out .King arms one I have as lasted over 3000+ rounds its around 250 bucks
Reallly it is a crap shoot if your motto is "FAILURE IS AN OPTION" Then by all means buy a clone .Are some clones manufacturers better than others hghly unlikely these scopes have FAIL wriiten all over them ,They even fail on Airsoft Guns
Bought an Acog clone and EOTech clone because I couldn't decide what I wanted. $55 each, shipped to my house. And I had the funds on my (FRAUD ALERT) account anyways.
I like the Acog way better, I sold the EOTech to my buddy for his 10/22 tacticool rifle, he loves it too.
Now the search starts for a real ACOG. Damn their expensive.
PS. My Acog clone holds zero on my AR. No problem. No reliability issues yet.
The ACOG clones are very poorly made with lots of plastic. The one I had ran out of adjusment and then fell apart. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.
On the other hand the AIMPOINT clones don't seem too bad, I have one that is working well on my STORM and a couple of other people I know have them and have had no problems.
The guys at our tac rifle matches always are messing around with their fakepoints and their FACOGs... Vast majority of people at the matches have real optics and never have any issues.
Take a look at the Bushnell Trophy T dot. It looks similar to an acog and has a lifetime warranty. No magnification, but it has an illuminated T dot and lots of adjustment range.

I have one of the Bushnells on my CZ858... Its done about 1500 rounds and no problems, holds zero and I find is easy to look through. I also like the irons on top. The irons aren't real accurate, but they let you hit out to 25 I tested to.
I do find it's not overly bright at dusk though, but with a flashlight works great.
