ACOG in Canada?

also check out Trijicon's site it list's international sellers, 3 available in canada.
Do some research before spouting off your yap, the restrictions on certain optics and other equipment export are US Laws not Canadian.
As noted, optics are on the restricted/prohibited US State Dept. 'list'.
Most models of ACOG's are able to be ordered through the dealer listed on the Trijicon web site. The supply to Canada is tenuous due to these restrictions as well as the small market size.
Just as most of the Eotech models are available,( from time to time...nothing to do with our importers or dealers !), some, such as the 553, are not.
Just like our Canadian firearm laws, none of this has to make any sense!

Is there any loopholes to work around any of these restrictions, where a person could order it if he really wanted it & just had to pay extra brokerage fees??? Not that anyone would want to, just curious if anyone has or knows someone who has????
Lots of US based optics resellers have told me they will not ship acogs etc... outside the US. They don't have export permits to do so and have plenty of business in their own country. I have been told it is not worth the hassle for them to apply for permits for the very few optics they may potentially sell to Canada.
